School Choice Application Window

The SDUSD School Choice Application window is open for the 2025-2026 school year and closes on Monday, November 4, 2024. Remember, it is not on a first come, first served basis. A lottery will be conducted in January 2025 with email notifications to families soon after. For more information and to apply, click here

Volunteers

Volunteer applications are now available on the volunteer webpage and in the front office. Once your application is cleared, you’ll be notified via the email address you provided. Please note, it can take up to five school days for your applicated to be cleared. Your child’s teacher will notify the office if your application needs expedited processing. Student Attendance

If your student will be absent, arriving late, or leaving early from school, please call (619) 860-5900 option 1 and leave a detailed message including student's name, teacher, and reason.

ABOUT

DAILARD ELEMENTARY

Welcome to Dailard Elementary School! We are located in the San Carlos area of San Diego. Our school is tucked away in a close-knit community and is conveniently located right next to a community park. Dailard was built in 1976 as an open – loft facility.  Our school is part of the Patrick Henry Cluster, which has a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Math & Music (STEMM). Approximately 550 students attend Dailard in grades UTK- 5th. Dailard strives to create a positive and challenging learning environment that supports learning at all levels.
